Early Life
Jesus was born in Judea in the Roman Empire at a time when his parents were going to their homeland for the census. At this time, the king had ordered the killing of all new-borns because of the prophesy that a new king would be born at that time.
On his birth, he was visited by three wise men who came bearing gifts. The three were led to their destination by a star and they found baby Jesus in a manger with his mother Mary and Joseph.
Joseph was not His biological father as written in the scriptures but instead he was conceived by the Holy Spirit. In his early years, however, he was raised by Joseph who was a carpenter.
Career
Jesus Christ was famous for spreading the Christianity gospel though his short stories that were referred to as parables. He also performed a number of miracles such as healing the sick and resurrecting the dead.
Jesus was always accompanied with twelve disciples who he chose and they later left their source of livelihood to work with Him to spread the gospel.
His popularity annoyed some religious leader who heavily criticized his teachings. They were keen to notice teachings from him that did not augur with the current set up. He at one time punished a number of people who were trading in the church.
Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist who was keen to mention that he, himself, was not the Messiah that people were waiting for but instead Jesus was.
Death
Jesus was crucified after being betrayed by one of his disciples but later on resurrected before ascending to heaven.
