Early Life
Seinfeld was born on 29 April 1954 in Brooklyn, New York City. His parents were Kalman Seinfeld and Betty. His father was of the Hungarian-Jewish decent. His father used to tell jokes he heard during the 2nd world war.
He is cousins with Evan Seinfeld who is an actor and a musician. Seinfeld was brought up in Massapequa, New York city. He went to school Massapequa high school that is located in Long island.
When he was 16 years of age, he volunteered in Kibbbbutz Sa’ar in Israel. For his university education, he attended State University of New York that is located in Oswego. He studied here for two years before seeking a transfer to Queens College, the City University of New York. It is from here that he graduated with a degree in communications and theatre.
Personal Life
Before his popular show Seinfeld premiered, he dated Carol Leifer who is a colleague comedian. She inspired one of the characters in Seinfeld, called Elaine. He once said in an interview that he was engaged in 1984, but this engagement was later called off.
He later met Jessica Sklar who later divorced from her husband Eric Nederlander to be with Seinfeld. The two got married and were blessed with three children, a girl and two boys.
Career
Seinfeld has had a remarkable career as both a comedian and actor featuring in a number of prominent films. These include Eddie, Pros and Cons, Bee movie and other movies. He has also featured in a number of shows such as Stand up confidential and Seinfeld which he co-wrote. Seinfeld has been involved in a number of activities in the political scene such as in the campaign of both George Bush and Al Gore.
